Sergio Perez F1 Return

The world gives second chances. Certainly, he is not the best F1 driver on the grid. But there are great chances for a Sergio Perez F1 Return. The Mexican driver is a strong candidate to occupy one of the Cadillac seats for 2026.

There have been no clear statements from either party, just some small media flirtations.

Perez is taking a sabbatical year and even considered competing in Formula E, a decision he ultimately did not make. Certainly, any former F1 driver will always have the desire to compete in an F1 team. However, some choose to move on from their past at the pinnacle of motorsport and explore other disciplines.

Juan Pablo Montoya, a former Colombian driver known for his fierce battles with Schumacher, believes that Checo is a very good option. He considers him a driver who will provide valuable feedback and avoid making major mistakes that could result in expenses for a new team.

And of course, Cadillac, a new team set to join the 2026 F1 season, will need a set of elements that inspire confidence and future prospects. The American team has expressed a desire to have a second experienced driver. And Checo has it all: sponsors who support him, many years as a driver, and experience with both small teams and Red Bull, so he knows both sides of the coin.

The only thing that seems to hinder the potential Sergio Perez F1 Return is the name of Colton Herta. The IndyCar driver is one of the most skilled in his discipline and has Cadillac’s confidence to bring back an American driver to the F1 grid.

For now, one thing is clear: Checo was right to complain for so long about the car’s performance, which prevented him from finishing in good positions in last season’s F1 standings.

Now, after Yuki replaced Lawson, Red Bull wants both of its drivers back in the highest positions.
